Length of influence: Very potent for the next couple weeks. However, eclipses — both lunar and solar — have a much longer influence than a new or full Moon, and this Solar Eclipse is up tp six months, perhaps longer. NOTE:  In a reading we will discuss where and how this is impacting you personally. 

Astrologically speaking, there are several rare and significant events occurring in a short period of time (list below under “Astro Talk”), which I have lots of thoughts (and notes) on.
Here I’m going to discuss the New Moon/Solar Eclipse, starting with the Balsamic Moon phase which has already begun…

9/18 to 9/21 Mystical Balsamic Moon Phase  

The mystical Balsamic Moon phase occurs 3 days prior to and for several hours after the New Moon each month.

NOTE: Since this New Moon is also a Solar Eclipse the energies during this Balsamic Moon phase will be especially potent and significant. You could get messages through a myriad of avenues such as music lyrics, art, your dreams, or coincidences and synchronicities. Your guides and higher self are seeking to bring you insights and inspiration! Stay tuned!

During the Balsamic and NM phase the veils between worlds are especially thin, opening you to a kind of mystical otherworldliness. The portals are open, allowing cosmic energies from the higher realms to stream into our realm. You may feel as through you’re in-between dimensions…in what Celtics call “liminal space” which means “thin places” as indeed you may be!

If you are especially sensitive to subtle energies you may see shimmering thresholds to other dimensions where magical beings such as fairies or unicorns visit. The angelic realms are also bestowing benevolent and comforting energies, knowing that this is a challenging time for many. 

During these few days, pay extra attention to any symbols that appear or messages you receive. Surrender to the mysterious and unknown, as it will open your mind and heart to the mystical energies present, allowing you to see new potentials and opportunities that are available to you now or will be in the near future.

Lastly, this is also a very creative time hence visualize planting seeds for your goals and dreams for these to become reality in the months ahead. Think good thoughts and send love and light out to the world during this time as this is part of why you are here now…to anchor light into this realm. And now, during this Balsamic Lunar Phase, is an especially powerful time to do this as “etheric ground” is very fertile to your intentions.

Also this eclipse is taking place within 24 hours of the Vernal~Libra Equinox, amplifying the importance of each of these celestial events and the intentions you set forth. What takes place now on the etheric planes will have a longer duration of influence, lasting at least six months, though it could be longer. As well as impacting national and global events, personally you can expect internal shifts bringing new perspectives…ones that can change your priorities going forward as you feel a greater alignment with your Soul path for this time.

Simply stay open, embrace the mystical energies streaming forth and be grateful for the opportunities that are to be revealed now and that will manifest in the months ahead. 

As below, so above… Much of the above came through as I wrote it. As I felt the vibration of the message, I can only assume that this increase in cosmic energies, entering our realm, not only now but in the foreseeable future as well, are benevolent, protective and filled with the wisdom and peace so needed at this time. 

9/21 New Moon/Solar Eclipse (NM/SE) at 29˚05’ Virgo at 12:54 pm PT

This FM/SE is occurring at the final degree of Virgo (29˚) while opposing Saturn (retrograde) at 29˚ of Pisces…which is the last degree of the Zodiac (the first degree being 0˚ Aries). Plus it is taking place within 24 hours of the Vernal~Libra Equinox, amplifying the importance of each of these celestial events. These combined will have a longer duration of influence, lasting at least six months, though it could be longer.

As well as impacting national and global events, personally you can expect internal shifts bringing new perspectives and changing your priorities going forward.

Given all this we can also assume that there is an increase in cosmic energies entering our realm as planetary, and our personal, evolution ramps up. Things we’ve come to count on seem to be changing all at once and at an accelerated pace!

Let’s take a deeper look at the energies of this New Moon/Solar Eclipse  . . .

1.  Overview

With so much turmoil and chaos occurring in the the outer world, Virgo energies invites you to focus on your immediate environment…to shrink your world, so to speak. Even in these troubling times we must still “do things” to keep our life going. The Virgo energies influencing us now (and will for the weeks ahead given that this New Moon is also a Solar Eclipse) urge you to rework your goals, routines and project lists until they are realistic and actually doable without stressing you out.

It is time to release the excess…the extras…the things you know you really don’t need to do and that you feel “done” with but keep holding onto either out of obligation or habit. The Sun and Moon at 29˚ of Virgo indicates that there are things in your life that are completing…perhaps a phase is ending, shifting your priorities in the process. While this may be uncomfortable, it may also be a necessity.

This said, there is another aspect to this. As this NM/SE is exacting opposing Saturn at 29˚ Pisces it also begs the question: tIs there something we must take action on before we can more on. A habit to break…a pile of papers that need going through…a space in your home that needs decluttering. Anything that you keep bumping into, hearing “do this!” yet you move past,  may be yelling at you now. Clearing such things (and you may already know what that is/they are), will open the door for new energies to come in. And bring you relief abd perhhaps greater peace of mind, things we all could use more of about now. 

The energies are basically urging you to find ways to bring greater order to your life through the process of letting go. Perhaps it is time to clean out the clutter, organize your space, be honest about (and change) any unhealthy habits, lifestyles and beliefs, too. Basically to get your house in order, at least to some degree.

2. Questions to ask yourself . . . 
What is not working?  Where do I need to get back on track?  What important things do I keep adding to my to-dp list over and over? What details am I not paying enough attention to?  Where am I stuck?  What can I eliminate…let go of?  What am I overcomplicating?  How can I make “this” easier?

Once you have some answers to the above, this NM helps you to focus on ways to improve your life in practical, tangible ways starting with using your Virgo faculty of discernment to determine what steps to take next.

3. Areas getting greater focus and/or emphasis during the NM/SE 

How you manage your time and energy; The details and structures of your everyday life; How you tend to your overall well-being especially as it relates to your physical, emotional and mental health. This includes your habits, diet, nutrition, exercise, etc. The power of choice; being discerning. How you manage your time and energy; the details of your day-to-day life. Service and compassion are also emphasized now.

4. What to be aware of during this NM: Paying so much attention to the details that you lose site of the big picture. Going off on tangents. Worrying and feeling anxious. Being critical of self or others. Taking on more than you can do. Holding on to things you no longer resonate with or need.

5. Ways to connect with the higher frequencies present

• Let go of what you no longer identify with and that no longer serves you.
• Seek ways to bring greater rhythm into your daily life. Start by doing so in small incremental steps which will make a difference over time.
• Don’t over-complicate things. Ask: What’s the easiest way to do this? 
• Spend time in nature. Slow down…
• Be patient with yourself and others.
• Simplify and then go deeper, making a commitment to what remains. 
• Your best cast scenario might just be common sense. (Just saw on Instagram : )

6. Spirit Message: During this NM practice mindfulness through your breath as this will connect you with the natural rhythms of your body and of the cosmos. Stay stay in the moment which is the only place peace of mind and aliveness exists. Seek the light hidden in all things. Consider this: Truth shines through natural beauty and simplicity.

Astro-speak: List of the key aspects taking place

As mentioned above, there are several celestial energies/events in play during the next 10 days, that are of exceptional significant, astrologically speaking:

1. The final degree of any sign is 29˚ and events taking place at that degree are considered to be extra potent as it represents the end or culmination of a cycle or phase that must take place before a new cycle can begin.

2. This New Moon is ALSO an eclipse. Again…adding to the intensity and most importantly to the duration of influence, which can be up to six months. Take note of the events that take place in the two weeks before and after the NM/SE for they may well have a long-term impact.

3. The Sun and Moon’s opposition to Saturn, the planet most associated with fate, destiny and karma, adds another layer of complexity and importance to this time. The quote that comes to mind is: “Remember. You can see the whole thing.”

4. This NM/SE occurs within 24 hours of the Vernal/Libra Equinox, also indicating that the events taking place in this window (2 weeks before and after) will be impacting the subsequent events for six months though it could be longer.

5. Further Mars has entered intense and dynamic Scorpio hours before the equinox and is forming a square to Pluto. This is a very volatile, yet also transformational, aspect. (Article with more about Mars in Scorpio coming soon.)

6. In the chart of the Equinox two yods are taking place (very rare).
They are:

-Mars in SCO quincunx Neptune in ARI and Uranus in Gemini
-Venus in Virgo quincunx Pluto in Aquarius and Neptune in ARI 

I realize this is a LOT to even begin to take in, let alone grasp the significance of… for astrologers as well! The complexity of these events are multi-layered and their impact may only be revealed as events unfold in the coming weeks and months.
